if IRC goes down again over the next week, could someone post it in here plz? im not gonna be on irc, so I need to know when/if it needs restarting.

k thx - back up. im going to leave services off till i get back home to stop it going down. pretty sure thats what is causing it, & i think we need to have a rethink about em perhaps.

I can only see two reasons for having them, nick registration and keeping enough ops around to do crowd control. Both seem kind of pointless on such a small server with the number of users and opers that gs has. Oh, there's one more reason which is for amusement but I think we've exhausted the possibilities there...

Just lose them.
