HW TOURNEY

HELLO ALL

Afther been playing alot in HW i think is time to get some new tourneys ;)

I would like to host a big tourney with alot of player and to invite evrybody, but i would like to have some help to decide the day (i was thinking about a saturday or sunday) and the time to host it.

anytime i would regulay host tourneys each 2 weeks if i had almost 8 players in

Of course the tourney will b hosted on cases ladder because for me is the easyest way to do it


All ideas or suggestions are accepted ;)

1. Is this a 1 v 1, 2 v 2 or both?

2. What maps are going to be used?

3. Can I get a bye to the finals if I join?

kamel you should definitely talk to ridock cause he's been wanting to do a tourny real bad with some help. reaper has also shown interest and said he would construct a map/maps for it.

when you were gone i hosted i think the largest 1v1 and 2v2 tourny and it was both lots of fun and a huge headache. ;) A small group of ppl running it would work best yea? lots of ppl not showing up who signed up and even more ppl showing up that didnt sign up was hard to do and frusterating for someone like me.

anyways you should talk to ridock and reaper i think.

NON LADDER Tourney is good. You can get more players that way and us rusty buckets can play too

WildCard: - I will try to host first a 1 vs 1 tourny, but if i had somebody helping me myb i will do a 2 vs 2 one too
-The maps for the 1 vs 1 tourney will b Subju, Talas, Radia ladder, Iron curain, and some one else what i must think about it.
- You can get a Bye on the final if your oponent leave the tourney ;)

Griffin: I know is better a non ladder tourney, but i have already hosted 14 or 15 tourneys (all with ladder), and if i prefer to do it using the ladder is to avoid some headaches, and is always easyer for me to host atourney on ladder what a non ladder, but if somebody whant to help me myb i will do a non ladder one.... just to try...

Hmm

Maybe instead of flooding the igl.net/homeworld ladder with peeps who really aren't going to ladder... you could make another ladder with igl thats strictly for tourney use... i know everyone would still have to sign up on that ladder but it might be better so it doens't get a bunch of idlers on the other one...
