  • magic boxjumping numbers

i was just reading a post from an empire guy about the magic boxjumping numbers in rtcw for ppl with fps normally lower than 100. i tried em, and they all work - the 31 value got me onto boxes ive never been able to reach before. use these binds:

    bind x "com_maxfps 76"
    bind x "com_maxfps 43"
    bind x "com_maxfps 31 "
    bind x "toggle pmove_fixed"

and swap between them on servers where your fps is effected differently. the pmove_fixed is apparently an alternative you can use so that your framerate won't affect your jump height.

Is this a cheat, an exploit, or a valid tweak? Seems a little suspicious there reki... ;<

its a tweak molo - basically its capping your fps according to the speed of your fps. when your fps fluctuates, you cant jump on boxes.. this will cap it so it runs at a consistant rate and you can do what you are always meant to be able to do.

quar - you open up wolfconfig_mp.cfg (found in your return to castle wolfenstein/main folder) in notepad and paste those lines in, substituting the x value for a key. when in the game, you try out those different keys to see which one works for you.

K was fn working for me last nite after i joined a custom map server, forgot map name, but hell i was jumping on all boxes - i thought it was the boxes that was smaller but then i loaded assault and WOOOHOOOO i was jumping on all boxes it was kool, but then i joined another server and coudnt anymore. Then i loaded assault again and no good so boohoo. I guess my 10 frames per sec on assault might have somthing to do with it.

          Oh well
          Rule

ps i have demo of me going jump crasy on asasult.

btw, for those people with insanely high fps (ie. 130+ - fu btw), the number is 120. anyone between 80-120 should use 76.
