1.Can a 56ker play this game?
2.Where can we order or is it sold in the U.S.?
3.In Rainbow 6 its hard to get games cos of my 56k conn- will it be the same with this game?

When i played on my 56k - i got alot of connection inturrupted stuff and a couple nites ago i tred again with my 56k and could only play 1 min of a game till i had to reconnect - i guess this game is really for greater than 56k users.

Althought i played rtcw demo under 56k and didnt get as much connection failures are full version.

well i had to play last week with my modem caus my adsl went down. rules, the reason you had loads more conn interrupts was probably because your wolfmp file had the value:

set rate 25000

instead of

set rate 3500


25000 is for cable/dsl users. i discovered this after a few days of connection interrupts and managed to be able to play ok on the aussie servers using the new rate.

it severely limits your choice of servers, griff, but it does work.

hi griff, banshee and i are in the same spot as you, wanting to play but fearing our 56k conn. we downloaded the demo from here:http://www.activision.com/games/wolf...ds/demos.html, the third choice down (wolfenstein center) and have played MP a few times with some success. it's a bit sticky occasionally so once we start playing the full version soon it's not be able to be competitively, just for fun. in a couple days we're gonna try the full version, we'll let you know how it runs...but i have crap comp and processor too, a 399...hopefully you have better for your sake :P

I stopped playing RTCW altogether because of my lousy connection. Every five minutes I was getting a Conn Interrupt message, and everything was jumping around pretty bad. Took me like 2 clips to kill someone even if I aim at the head. Im gonna take it up again when I go to RIT next year, where they have a good high speed connection. Thats in late August tho

i don't get the "connection intereupted" msg very often but i get a mimimum of .5 sec lag abnd up to 1.5..... considering ppl dance around so much they don't hold still for more than 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 secs this kinda fails. i get around 4.2k - 4.5k so my conn isn't exactly crappy for a 56k user.
